7 Ways You Need to Take Your Relationship to the Next Level

It doesn’t matter whether you are dating or even married, there are some great ways to take your relationship to the next level. All relationships have stepping stones and it takes time for partners to reach that moment when they’re really ready to go to the next level. Check out a few tips to follow to take your relationship to the next level.

1. Go public with your relationship

Going public with your relationship is one of the best ways to take your relationship to the next level. The next time you are hanging out with your friends let them know that you and your partner are together!

If you are walking to class together hold hands so everybody will know that you’re officially a couple. Yes, going public with your relationship is an important step, but it has to be done.

2. Travel together

Before moving in together, it’s better to test the water. The best way to do this is by traveling together. Whether it’s flying to the Caribbean or just a road trip, if you handle traveling together, then you’ll know you are ready to handle anything together.

3. Exchange keys

After you have conquered traveling, it can be a good idea to exchange your keys. This is a great step to take if the two of you (or only you or your partner) are not ready to move in together. When you exchange your keys, it means that you trust each other and you want to spend more time together.

4. Move in together

Moving in together never happens overnight and this is a huge step in your relationship. For some couple it may take over five months, while for other couples it may take a year or longer.

Moving in together means that you’re considering spending the rest of your life with your partner, so before moving in together be absolutely sure. Or, it will be a terrible breakup, with one of you having to move out and look for a new place.

5. Save up

After you have moved in together and began sharing responsibilities of paying the bills, it’s essential to start saving up. When I say saving money together I don’t mean that you and your partner must share a bank account. Just put money into your savings account every month and it will be easier for both of you to make some big purchases.

6. Get engaged

Well, this is a big step in your relationship that must not be rushed. Just because you moved in together doesn’t mean that it’s time to get engaged.

Living with your partner will show you his true habits and quirks. If you’re truly in love with him after living together for a while, and you really know that he loves you, then it might be time to get engaged!

7. Have a child

Sure, having a child is not for everybody. Don’t let family and friends pressure you into having kids if you (or your partner) are not ready for it.

Before planning to have children, you should make sure your marriage is stable and healthy, you both have steady jobs, you have enough money in your savings account and have discussed how you’re going to raise your children. You must be on the same page when it comes to your birth plan, breastfeeding and education.

It’s really important to take your relationship to the next level. But you should do it only when you are sure both of you are ready for this.
