Any nursery theme, boy or girl, is precious, but there is just something about bows and ruffles that are especially interesting and fun for moms to put together! Check out a few baby girl nursery themes that will give you some ideas on where to get started!
1. Princess themed nursery
I think this is one of the best baby girl nursery themes! After all, most little girls dream of being a princess, right? You could choose only one specific princess, or all of the princesses you know. Most of all I like the Disney Princesses, however, you could use princesses of legend, traditional princesses, or real life princesses. That’s not only classic theme, but perfect as well!
2. Fairy tales themed nursery
You could go two ways with this theme idea. You could choose a fairy tale in general and use it as a starting point, or you could pick the entire fairy tale layout as a backdrop (clouds, castles, carriages, swans, horses, etc.). It’s your sweet baby girl, so go with whatever feels right!
3. Owl themed nursery
Another great baby girl nursery theme of all time is owls! This theme is absolutely in style right now! Owls are perfectly cute and cuddly, and you won’t have any problems finding items and accessories to put in your baby’s room.
4. Elegant baby girl nursery
If you have a flair for drama, then let it out in your baby’s room! There are many elegant baby girl nursery ideas, but most of all I love gray and pastel pinks, or black and white as a color palette. Try to keep it simple with color, ‘cause the less color the more dramatic effect!
5. Character themed nursery
You can’t go wrong with this theme, ‘cause there are so many characters out there. Of course, you might get the nursery ready before your baby is born, and you don’t know your child’s favorite character, but you could choose something you think is right! I’ve got just some ideas: Barbie Doll, Minnie Mouse, Hello Kitty, Dora the Explorer, and Elmo.
6. Vintage themed nursery
Since I like all things vintage, this is one of my favorite baby girl nursery themes! You might need to do lots of antique shopping or thrift store shopping to find the perfect things to complete your baby’s room. But don’t purchase any antique furniture that you plan to use. Antique baby crib is not safe for your new baby girl.
7. Butterfly themed nursery
A lot of moms love this theme for a girl nursery! What can be more beautiful than sweet butterflies on your child’s wall? I’m going to picture a butterfly themed nursery in purple, however, you can choose any color you like. If you don’t like butterflies, then consider bees or ladybugs.
8. Nursery with shapes
Are you looking for something uncharacteristic or a little bit different? Try shapes! You can choose bright colors and small or large shapes, triangles, circles, rectangles or squares, for better effect. There are many different options for decorating a baby girl nursery using this theme!
Don’t allow anyone to pressure you into something you don’t like! It’s your baby, and you have the right to choose the nursery theme, because you’ll be spending lots of time in this room! What baby girl nursery themes do you like? Share your thoughts, please.1
