Foods That Help Minimize Cellulite

  

Cellulite is often a woman’s worst fear when it comes to her appearance. No woman chooses to have it, but most women do. Any woman can get it, no matter if she is thin or fat.

What is Cellulite?

Besides being a major annoyance to women of all ages, shapes, and sizes, cellulite is actually fatty deposits underneath the skin that cause a dimple like appearance from the outside. The areas of the body most prone to its development are the upper arms, thighs, and buttocks areas. It usually does not affect the male gender, but it can.

One of the reasons why women get it more often in men is because of how these fatty deposits are lined beneath the skin. Women tend to have more irregular patterns of these fatty deposits resulting in the outside skin looking dimpled. These same fatty deposits in males tend to have a more regular pattern.

Foods to Avoid

Avoiding certain foods can help minimize the appearance of cellulite. Studies have shown that women who have lower calorie diets have less of a problem. Since it is fat deposits that are the underlying cause of the condition, avoiding all high sugar and high fat foods could also be beneficial. The following should also be avoided:

  • Soda
  • Caffeine
  • Alcohol

While there is no known cure for cellulite, avoiding certain foods can certainly help minimize it.
