2. Avoid the inside aisles of the grocery store

Do you know that the layout of any grocery store is specially designed to make us plump? I can say that it’s true!

Healthy food is always on the outside aisles of almost all grocery stores. And the inside aisles are loaded with horrible junk, like canned and boxed food.

3. Aim for 5 servings

If you want to eat healthier in New Year you should start eating 5 servings of fresh fruits and vegetables every day. You know that fruits and veggies are so good for your health that’s why to aim for 5 servings a day. It is one of the easiest ways to eat healthier in the New Year!

4. Drink 2% milk

Whole milk is high in cholesterol and very fattening, that’s why start drinking 2% milk. It’s very healthy and maybe you’ll lose a few unnecessary calories and lower your cholesterol. Drinking 2% milk is another easy way to eat healthier in the New Year!

5. Avoid soda

I know soda tastes very good, and maybe you feel like you are addicted to it, but it is empty calories, and it’s bad for your health. So try to quit or just cut down on drinking soda. You might even lose those extra pounds this year!

I’m not telling you to give up meat at all, but a few days or even one or two weeks try to eat a vegetarian meal. You’ll not only save your money on groceries but also promote your heart health. Eating a vegetarian meal is one of the most effective ways to eat healthier in the New Year.

7. Cook at home

If you cook your own meals at home, you’ll control ingredients, portion sizes, save money, and easily count calories. This is one of the ways to eat healthier we have to try this year and next year too!

8. Carry a water bottle

Remember, you should always be hydrated, yes? And if you do not drink soda, then you should drink clear water. Keep a water bottle with you everywhere you go and drink from it when you are thirsty. Say “yes” to healthy hydration!
