7 Ways to Care for Dry Hands

There are many different ways to care for dry hands. Our hands are always exposed to such things as cold weather, harsh chemicals, and air conditioning that dry out the skin, especially the skin on our hands. 1. Wash your hands in lukewarm water

Hot water strips the skin of natural oils and dries it out. Always wash your hands in lukewarm water. This is one of the best ways to keep your hands from getting dried out. Wash your hands as little as possible because too much exposure to water may dry them out.

2. Opt for moisturizing soap

As I said before, washing your hands can dry them out, especially if you are using harsh soaps. To avoid this, switch to a moisturizing hand wash or soap. Avoid using harsh chemical soaps or regular dish soap where possible. Using a moisturizing soap will help in the fight against dry hands.

3. Choose a good hand cream

Good hand cream is one of the best ways to care for dry hands. Pick out one that has a rich moisturizing formula. There are many hand creams available on the market to suit any budget and skin type.

Skin absorbs moisturizer better when it is a little damp, that’s why apply hand cream right after you wash your hands to prevent them from drying out. If you work in an air-conditioned space, apply a hand cream frequently, as the dry air can affect the skin.
