1. Put a woman on a pedestal and make her God
One of the common and very big mistakes a man can make is to put a woman on a pedestal and make her God. No one is perfect and when you make her feel like she is, then she has to struggle to live up to that expectation. And often that struggle leaves her frustrated as she can no longer be herself in a relationship and that’s a sure sign it’s going down.
2. Woman wants to look up to her man
Moreover, however hard this sounds, a woman wants to look up to her man. This does not necessarily mean that she needs to be dominated, only that she needs to know that she can look up to him.
3. Expect your partner to think same as you do
One more very commonly made mistake is to expect your partner to think same as you do. Individuality when not respected in a healthy dosage is a sure formula for failure.
4. Throwing your partner into your friends’ group
Throwing your partner into your friends’ group before you know him/her well yourself is another sure fire way of scaring them off. It’s embarrassing and not to mention a bit scary too.
5. Warm up to your partner
Another mistake often made is to think you can warm up to your partner. In your mind you already know if this is going to work or not. So it is a case of instant click or no click at all. No warming up to it.
6. Unrealistic expectation
Unrealistic expectation also comes in the top five mistakes one makes. A closed mind will never allow for acceptance of even small things.
7. Too much information about yourself
Too much information about yourself right from the go kills the interest and even scare your partner off.
8. Speaking more than you listen
Speaking more than you listen is another way of putting a yawn in your partner’s mouth. Same goes for pumping for too much information before they are ready to give it.
9. Small Manners
Manners are very important. Often in order to get too comfortable from the go, we overlook small manners which make up the first impressions. Fidgeting, looking at your watch every now and then, and not taking active participation in the conversation is a sure killer.
If you are single now, what is your smart single mistake?
