2. Avoid negative thoughts

Another best way to stop being jealous is to avoid negative thoughts. I never waste my time worrying about what my significant other is doing when I’m not around. 3. Be thankful

Even if you know someone who is happier or wealthier than you, don’t think that your life is miserable. There are many positive parts to your life. Don’t forget about your family and your friends. You should even be thankful for the food you eat every day.

If you focus on what you don’t have, you may end up pulling yourself into a deep depression. So try to think of all of the wonderful things in your life.

4. Use your envy to fuel your productivity

If you are jealous of those who are more successful than you, try to put all of those thoughts to good use. I want to become a good writer and I always get jealous when I read something beautifully written. But this makes me strive to better myself. Don’t mope about your life, instead change it!

5. Be trusting

If you are jealous when your man speaks to other women, you should learn to trust him. Remember he is with you and he loves you. If you know that he is cheating on you, end the relationship and don’t waste your time with the person you cannot trust.

6. Examine their faults

Although everybody tells you to see only the positive in people, you should also examine their faults. If you are envious of your friend who has a loving husband and perfect life, realize that she has issues of her own.

Even if she appears problem-free, there are always hidden issues. She might have some personal problems or even an illness that you are not aware of. Maybe your friend thinks that your life is better than her, who knows?

7. Be thrifty

If you are upset by your lack of money, start saving. Sell some things online, earn some extra money, or budget yourself so that you will be able to buy everything you want. Only you can change your financial situation. Sure, it will be difficult and may take a few years to accomplish, but you can accomplish anything only if you work hard enough.
