Are You in an Unhealthy Relationship?

Unhealthy Relationship

Do you feel like you are in a wrong relationship? Both women and men stay in unhealthy relationships without realizing it.

However, women are more likely to stay in a wrong relationship. Women are weaker and often abused by their partners. You don’t feel like an equal partner and you are not allowed to do anything without his permission. You feel stuck in your life and happiness is something unreachable to you.

I think I can help you. We all want well-adjusted and healthy relationships, right? So, let’s explore some of the most obvious signs of an unhealthy relationship so that you can know if you’re in one.

1. You don’t trust each other

Do you trust your man when he goes out by himself? Do you read his emails each day? This is not a healthy relationship, ladies, it’s actually an unhealthy one.

If your partner is a control freak, though, don’t expect him to change. Dealing with a control freak is emotionally draining and simply a waste of time.

2. You take each other for granted

If you and your partner take each other for granted, it means you don’t love each other anymore.

Let’s be honest. Do you assume that your boyfriend is going to stay with you? Or do you assume that your boyfriend is going to pack your lunch daily? These little things can ruin your relationship in time.

3. Constant fighting

Constant fighting is one of the clearest signs you are in a wrong relationship. Sure, every relationship has its bumps (especially if you and your partner share the same room), but if you are constantly fighting over the smallest things, that may not be a good relationship to be in. Keep in mind that the good times should always outweigh the bad ones.

4. Constant insults

Does your boyfriend put you down? If you feel like you have to be on the defense all the time, you are definitely in an unhealthy relationship.

Your partner should make you feel beautiful and he should never hurt you no matter what. Staying in an emotionally abusive relationship destroys your self-worth and leads to serious disease, including heart disease.

5. Omissions of truth

Can you openly talk to your boyfriend? If not, this is another sign of an unhealthy relationship. While you don’t necessarily have to tell your significant other everything you think or feel, you should be pretty open with him.

Trust is the key to a healthy relationship. If your partner laughs at your feelings and needs, and makes you hide your emotions, it’s time to say goodbye to him.

6. Constant blaming

Do you blame your partner for your failures? Or, is he the one who blames you for everything that isn’t right in his life? This is a warning sign you are in an unhealthy relationship.

We are not perfect and no one is responsible for your mistakes. When two people love each other, there’s no room for blaming.

7. Lack of communication

How often do you communicate with each other? You two can have busy schedules but it’s not a reason to stop talking to each other. That’s not a relationship, ladies.

Effective communication is an essential part of any relationship. It helps your relationship grow strong and stay strong, and avoid a lot of misunderstandings.

8. Social isolation

If you completely isolate yourself from your friends and even your family, you might be in an unhealthy relationship. You need your family and friends to survive. You also need other opinions besides your boyfriend’s.

So, if your partner expects you to spend all your time only with him and he gets angry when you speak to your parents or friends, it’s a warning sign.

Being in a wrong relationship is literally the end of the world. You kill your self-esteem, destroy your identity, lose many important people in your life and ruin your overall health. You deserve to be happy and so does your partner.
