It Is Okay to Not Be Full of Passion

Keeping up with the Joneses is not an easy task. They will always have more than others. Their lives are filled to the brim with “stuff.” But living a grandeur life is not for everyone, and that is okay.

Living a much simpler, happier life can be just as good as the Joneses, or even better. It is okay to not be full of passion and live a grandiose life. Here are some reasons why.

Less stress

Having a life full of passions means you are extremely busy. You are involved with all kinds of activities, clubs, kid events, social gatherings, you name it. Your calendar is full all the time.

Having a much simpler life with just the family and some friends every once in awhile is so much more relaxing and enjoyable than filling up the calendar with daily events. It also allows for more intimacy with those you truly care about.

You do not have to worry about where you should be, with whom you should be, and what time because you do not have tons of activities going on throughout the week. That means less stress.

More contentment

When you live a simple life, you tend to be more content with your life. You do not have to have big goals and dreams for what your life could be like. You are happy with what you have and that is all you need. Nothing more, nothing less.

People who live their lives full of passion tend to always want more and are often not content with what they already have.

Fulfillment

There is something to be said about having a life with less passion than others. You have things put into a well planned routine that meets your needs and your family’s needs. Everyone knows how things work around your home because you have established consistent routines.

Consistent routines give people a sense of safety and belongingness. Because everyone has become accustomed to the normal daily life, and you have established a secure place, everyone feels fulfillment in who they are and how they fit into your world.

Room for more

Even though your life is not filled with passion and grandiose ideas, there is always room for more. Room for more fun time with friends and family. Room for more rest and relaxation. Room for more time well spent living a much more simpler life than those who have filled their lives with “stuff.”

Your time for commitments is unlimited because you do not have to be a part of everything, so there is a room for more involvement where you want to be. You do not have to be involved with everything.

Living a life with passion can be exhilarating, but also overwhelming. Having big goals and dreams is great, but not always what it is cracked up to be. Having a life with little passion means living a life free of stress, full of contentment and fulfillment, and then you always have room for more if you so choose.

You do not have to keep up with the Joneses because you are who you are and your life is just the way you want it to be. Who can ask for more than that?1
