7 Things Your Skin Needs Every Day

Every woman wants to have clear and healthy skin. Just like we need some certain tools and beauty products to apply makeup properly, there are some certain things your skin needs every day in order to be healthy.

If you don’t exfoliate, your skin would look dry and dull! Check out a few things your skin needs every day.

1. Cleansing

Cleansing is one of the main things your skin needs every day. Many skin types benefit from cleansing twice a day – in the morning and in the evening.

Cleanse your face every day even if you don’t wear makeup. You should wash off the day’s dirt and grime, and open up the pores.

2. Water

Water is very essential for skincare! If you want to have supple and smooth skin you need to keep yourself hydrated.

You do not have to drink a truckload of water daily, but you need to drink enough water throughout the day, especially if you often drink alcohol or coffee, in order to stay hydrated and replenish skin cells and tissues.

3. Rest

This is one of the important things your skin needs daily. If you are constantly overworked and stressed out it’s not surprising that your skin is dull and not healthy.

I’m not going to tell you to treat yourself to a spa day daily, but there are many things you can do to de-stress. Talking to a friend, taking a nap, or taking a relaxing bath will help you relax and forget about troubles.

4. Antioxidants

To protect your skin from free radicals, decelerate the aging process and help repair your skin, eat foods and use skincare products that contain antioxidants. You might want to eat such foods as carrots, broccoli, or berries.

5. Healthy diet

I’m sure you know that a healthy diet is important not only for a healthy body and mind but for your skin as well. Aside from consuming antioxidants, eat foods that are high in essential fatty acids, minerals, and vitamins.

These foods will help your skin to retain moisture, protect your skin, and prevent skin cell damage. Make sure you include in your diet leafy vegetables, fruits, fatty fish, and nuts.

6. Sunscreen

Even in winter, your skin is exposed to the UV rays of the sun, so it’s very important to use good sunscreen. Also, try to limit your time in the sun.

Again, I’m not telling you to spend the whole day at home and always hide from the sun, just don’t spend too much time in it. The thing is that your body naturally converts sunlight into vitamin D, so make sure you get some sun!

7. Exercise

Perhaps you don’t even think that exercising is something your skin needs every day, but being healthy and staying in shape is reflected through the skin! As you exercise you get your blood flowing, and that gives your skin a radiant, healthy glow. Even if you can’t exercise every day, aim to work out every other day.

To keep your skin in tip-top shape, you need to maintain these good habits, which are good not only for your skin but for your health and well-being as well! What do you do daily to take care of your skin? Share your thoughts, please!
